Importing KML/KMZ files

Navigator has the possibility to import .kml or .kmz files into the planning tab which are then automatically turned into polygons for the flight plan. When the file contains multiple polygons each polygon is turned into a Mapping Region. Note that this is not currently possible for Corridor Mapping Regions!

Importing a .kml/.kmz is done by dragging the file into Navigator. First go to the Mapping Regions tab as shown in Mapping Regions. Select a .kml or .kmz file from your file browser and drag it into the area beneath the Mapping Regions tab on the right side of the screen. Each polygon in the file will appear as a new Mapping Region which can be further edited if needed.

The coordinate system used for the flight plan is the WGS84 (EPSG:4326) coordinate system.
